Diamond joined Southampton in 2019 at the age of 16 after leaving Reading, and excelled through the scholarship age groups to sign his first professional contract in December 2020.
The exciting attacking midfielder was a part of the Under-18s Premier League South title-winning team in the 2021/22 season.
He made an excellent start to the 2022/23 campaign, earning himself a place on the first team’s pre-season training camp before making his senior debut a few weeks into the season.
Diamond was introduced as a late substitute in the Carabao Cup against Cambridge United as part of a trio of academy stars that were handed their club debuts.
Unfortunately, he later suffered an ACL injury that kept him sidelined for the rest of the season. However, he was handed a contract extension in November 2022 which will keep him at the club for a further two years.
