Everton vs Saints: Teamsheets

By SFC Media time Sat 29 Sep Club

Nigel Adkins makes six changes for today's game at Everton, which kicks off at 3pm.

Paulo Gazzaniga, Frazer Richardson, Maya Yoshida, Jay Rodriguez and James Ward-Prowse keep their places in the starting XI on the back of Tuesday's 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Saints rested a number of players for that game, but many return to action at Goodison Park as Nathaniel Clyne, José Fonte, Rickie Lambert, Steven Davis, Gastón Ramírez and new father Adam Lallana come into the team.

Morgan Schneiderlin misses out with a knock, but young midfielder Ben Reeves is included in a top-flight matchday squad for the first time as he's named among the substitutes.

Everton make a number of alterations of their own following their exit from the Capital One Cup at Leeds in midweek.

Nikica Jelavic is fit after injury, meaning the in-form Victor Anichebe must make do with a place on the bench.

Everton: Howard, Baines, Heitinga, Jagielka, Jelavic, Mirallas, Neville (c), Osman, Pienaar, Coleman, Fellaini. Substitutes: Mucha (GK), Oviedo, Distin, Gueye, Vellios, Anichebe, Duffy.

Saints: Gazzaniga, Richardson, Fonte, Yoshida, Clyne, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse, Lallana (c), Ramírez, Rodriguez, Lambert. Substitutes: K. Davis (GK), Hooiveld, Guly, Mayuka, Chaplow, Reeves, Puncheon.

Referee: Mr L Probert

Assistant Referees: Mr R Ganfield & Mr M McDonough
