Saints to play Black Cats in cup

By SFC Media time Wed 25 Sep Club

Southampton will travel to managerless Sunderland in round four of the Capital One Cup.

The draw was made on Wednesday evening following the conclusion of the competition’s third round ties which were played this week.

Saints make the long journey to the Stadium of Light as a reward for overcoming Bristol City 2-0 at St Mary’s on Tuesday evening.

Sunderland, who parted company with manager Paolo Di Canio earlier this week, were also 2-0 winners on Tuesday, seeing off League 1 side Peterborough United on home soil.

All fourth-round ties will be played in the week commencing Monday 28th October 2013.

A confirmed time and date of the game as well as full ticketing details will be announced in due course on saintsfc.co.uk
