Southampton or Sunderland will face Chelsea at home in the fifth round of the Capital One Cup.
The draw for the Quarter-Finals in the League Cup competition was made after the rest of the fourth round fixtures were played out on Wednesday evening.
Saints, who travel to the Stadium of Light next Wednesday (6th November) to play their fourth round tie, would progress into the last eight of the competition with a win on Wearside.
The potential Quarter-Final match at St Mary's would be played in the week commencing the 16th December.
