Stephens extends Swindon loan

By SFC Media time Fri 30 Jan Club

Jack Stephens has extended his loan stay at Sky Bet League 1 side Swindon Town until the end of the season, Southampton Football Club can confirm.

Stephens and Saints teammate Jordan Turnbull have been with the Robins since the start of the campaign and the duo have helped guide Mark Cooper’s side to top of the table, with 20 games left of the season.

The 21 year-old has made 20 appearances so far at the County Ground and scored his first goal in their 3-1 win against Chesterfield last weekend.

It is the defender’s second spell with the Wiltshire based side, having made ten appearances for the club last season.

After travelling away with Ronald Koeman’s first team in pre-season, Stephens joined Swindon at the start of the campaign to continue his development, and the defender has enjoyed huge success so far.
