Stephens and Reed feature for England U20s

Jack Stephens started, and Harrison Reed came off the bench, as England Under-20s drew 3-3 with Morocco in their Toulon Tournament opener.

Stephens helped Aidy Boothroyd's side get off to a great start as Demarai Gray was found by Lewis Baker and finished well in the opening stages of the game.

Reda Hajhouj’s deflected free-kick saw Morocco draw level, before moments later Achraf Bencharki smashed home from close range to put England behind.

Duncan Watmore equalised soon after but Morocco headed into half-time 3-2 ahead after Bencharki grabbed his second of the game just before the break.

Reed was introduced soon after Dominic Iorfa had been sent off, and the Saints midfielder played his part in salvaging a point. Chuba Akpom got the all-important goal to give Boothroyd’s side a point in their opening game.

Reed and Stephens will hope to be involved again on Saturday when England take on Ivory Coast in their second group game at 4pm BST.
