Jack Stephens and Harrison Reed both played the full 90 minutes as England Under-20s beat Ivory Coast in their second Toulon Tournament clash.
Stephens, who completed the full game against Morocco on Thursday, was in from the start again, with Reed starting his first game of the tournament.
The duo both played an important role as Aidy Boothroyd’s side sealed a 2-1 win, to back up their 3-3 draw with Morocco in the opening game of the tournament.
Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom scored the opening goal of the game before Aston Villa forward Callum Robinson scored the second.
Ivory Coast pulled one back through substitute Manfousse Kone late on, but Boothroyd’s young charges held on to take all three points.
Stephens and Reed will be back in action again on Wednesday when they take on Mexico at 6pm BST. England then round off the group stage on Friday 5th June against China.
