Davis plays in Northern Ireland win over Belarus

By SFC Media time Fri 27 May Club

Steven Davis captained Northern Ireland for the first half of their 3-0 win over Belarus at Windsor Park on Friday night.

Davis played the opening 45 minutes before he was replaced at half time by Reading’s Oliver Norwood in midfield.

By that time the hosts had amassed a 2-0 lead. Kyle Lafferty put them in front after six minutes, and Michael O’Neill’s side doubled their advantage one minute before the break through QPR striker Conor Washington.

Substitute Will Grigg wrapped up the win late on in what was the team's eleventh match unbeaten.

Northern Ireland’s preparations for the summer continue when they travel to Slovakia in a week’s time in what will be their final warm-up game ahead of Euro 2016.
