With the squads for EURO 2016 all now set, it has been confirmed that seven Southampton players will be taking part in the competition.
Each country had until 11pm last night to submit their 23-man lists to UEFA, ahead of this summer’s tournament, in France, which begins on Friday 10th June.
Saints will be well represented at the European Championship, with seven players involved across five different teams.
Goalkeeper Fraser Forster and Ryan Bertrand both made the cut for Roy Hodgson’s England squad, who have been drawn in Group B, alongside Russia, Wales and Slovakia.
Midfielder Steven Davis will lead Northern Ireland into their first ever European Championship, and their first major international tournament since the 1986 World Cup.
Michael O’Neill’s side will be playing in Group C, where they will come up against world champions Germany, as well as Poland and Ukraine.
In Group E, there is the prospect of two Saints players going head-to-head, with Graziano Pellè included in Italy’s squad, while fellow striker Shane Long is with Republic of Ireland. Belgium and Sweden are the other two sides in their section.
Elsewhere, both centre-half José Fonte and right-back Cédric are with Portugal, who will be fancied in Group F, against Austria, Hungary and Iceland.
