A number of Southampton players could be in action at Wembley Stadium tonight, as England host Portugal in a pre-EURO 2016 friendly.
The match will represent a final tune-up for England and the penultimate warm-up fixture for Portugal ahead of this summer’s tournament, in France, which gets underway on Friday 10th June.
There will be plenty of Saints interest this evening, with each country having two players from the club in their squad.
For England, goalkeeper Fraser Forster will be hoping to get another chance to impress manager Roy Hodgson, as he looks to challenge Joe Hart for the starting job.
Hodgson also has left-back Ryan Bertrand in his squad, although the defender will be rested after receiving treatment for a knock this week. However, the England boss has explained that Bertrand is likely to be fit for England's EURO 2016 opener, against Russia, on Saturday 11th June.
On the opposite side, two Saints defenders could feature for Portugal.
Both centre-half José Fonte and right-back Cédric are in the squad for EURO 2016 and will be keen to get the opportunity to further stake a claim for why they should feature heavily in France.
