Claude Puel is expecting a typically tough encounter when his Southampton side meet AFC Bournemouth this weekend at St Mary’s.
Puel’s men won the reverse fixture 3-1 at Vitality Stadium in December after falling behind early to Nathan Aké’s header.
And with Bournemouth looking for a third straight victory in the Premier League, the Saints boss is well aware of the threat they pose.
“I like this team. It was a good win for us in December, but it was difficult at the beginning of the game,” Puel said.
“It will be a difficult game against this team because they have the same points in the table.
“We are in competition and it’s important to take this game with a good focus about this team because they play good football with technical players and they have confidence from their last results.”
