Jack Stephens says he can’t wait to get back to it in the Premier League when Southampton meet AFC Bournemouth at St Mary’s.
After an international break with England Under-21s, which Stephens took a lot from in terms of his development, the 23-year-old is relishing a busier schedule.
“It was a good week away with England and I learnt a lot with the two games we played. They were really beneficial and it was good to see where we are at.
“It’s been a bit of a break (from the Premier League) and it’s been difficult for us because we’ve had a couple of two week breaks which make it hard to build momentum.
“I’m looking forward to Saturday and then we’ve got two more games in the next six days as well.
“Bournemouth are a good side who like to keep the ball and play nice football so I think it’ll be a good match on Saturday.
“They’ve had a few good results of late so I think it’ll be a really good game.”
