Maya Yoshida has been called up for Japan’s upcoming fixtures against Syria and Iraq.
Samurai Blue go up against Syria in the Kirin Challenge Cup on Wednesday 7th June at the Tokyo Stadium.
That is before their FIFA World Cup qualifying clash against Iraq on Tuesday 13th June.
Japan are currently top of Group B on goal difference after their 4-0 win over Thailand last time out, with Yoshida on the scoresheet.
