Maya Yoshida says there are positives to take despite the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League.
Romelu Lukaku’s first-half strike proved the difference and the visitors stood up to a dominant second-half display from Mauricio Pellegrino’s men.
“The feeling is disappointment, but it’s still positive (in the dressing room) because while we couldn’t win, in the second-half we dominated a lot playing against a team top of the table,” Yoshida reflected.
“I think the problem, since the end of last season we haven’t scored that many goals and we have to be more clinical. Defensively, we’ve been much better and more aggressive.
“Manchester United created maybe two chances and scored one goal. That’s what happens against the top teams.
“The most important thing is that we need to win the next game against Stoke before the next international break.”
