As we reach the end of 2018, we're taking a look back at some of the best moments from our official Twitter account...

TripAdvisor...

After our season-defining win away at Swansea, which all-but-clinched Premier League survival last season, we had a little bit of fun after we experienced some issues with our trip!

Ohhhh, Gabbiadini!

We also gave fans a unique look inside the dressing room post-match at Swansea, as the players celebrated with goalscorer Manolo Gabbiadini.

Bale strikes in Champions League final!

When Southampton Academy graduate Gareth Bale netted twice in the Champions League final โ€“ including a phenomenal overhead kick โ€“ to fire Real Madrid to a 3-1 win over Liverpool, we thought it would be appropriate to mark the moment.

Charlie Austin and VAR...

When Charlie Austin had a goal cruelly ruled out in our home game against Watford this season, he gave a memorable post-match interview about it. Jump to a few days later and the Premier League had approved the use of VAR for the 2019/20 season. Was this down to Charlie? Well, maybe not exactly, but we figured he could maybe take a look at some other pressing issues while he's at it.

Doucouré's handball goal...

Speaking of feeling hard-done-by in terms of officiating against Watford, we weren't really keen to let this last-gasp equaliser for the Hornets in our game at Vicarage Road last season go too easily!

Welcome home, Danny Ings!

A Saints fan as a boy, Ings returned to his hometown club in the summer, moving from Liverpool, and we announced the moment with one of our sticker-pack transfer reveals.

Careful about Harry...

Harry going into the Jungle? Well, we couldn't let that one pass, could we?!

A bold move...

When Bleacher Report's football account posted a difficult upcoming run of fixtures for Manchester United, they decided that ourselves and Crystal Palace weren't worthy of being given the bold text treatment. So we decided to fix it.

The worst deal ever? Are you sure?

The worst deal ever? We raise you Ali Dia!

We've all been there...

When Liverpool's Mo Salah had a statue of himself unveiled in Egypt, it brought back a few memories for us, of that first Ted Bates statue.

A wish granted...

When the Make A Wish Foundation approached us about young Joseph and his dream to train with us, we had to make sure it came true for him.

A new era...

Managerial appointments are always big news, and Ralph Hasenhรผttl's at Southampton was extremely well received.

Waking up at Christmas like...

When we saw this brilliant video of Ralph celebrating a few days before Christmas, there was only one thing to do!

We hope you've enjoyed another year of following us on Twitter. If you aren't doing so, then head to twitter.com/southamptonfc and join in the fun!
