Radhi Jaïdi has called for ultimate focus ahead of a huge Under-23s triple-header over the next fortnight. It's crunch time.
Saints, who continue to lead Premier League 2, firstly face fellow challengers Reading tomorrow, before meeting Villarreal in the International Cup next week, followed swiftly by a trip to second-placed Wolves in the league.
The result of each will go a long to way to determining whether or not silverware is likely to land at Staplewood Campus this season, as well as indicate which tier of PL2 Saints are likely to play in next year.
The message from boss Jaïdi is one of calm, though, and he's confident that a consistent approach, after an already impressive season, will see his youngsters through their most challenging period yet.
"They are big games, there's no doubt. A really important three games," he began.
"We've been working hard this whole season and the Under-23s have already fulfilled expectation, to a certain extent.
"We want to keep consistency on a daily basis. There's still plenty of opportunity for us.
"We want these players to act and behave like professionals - similar to our senior boys who are working to achieve something.
"There is a positive pressure on us. A pressure that will drive us forward and keep us motivated. This squad understand the requirements of being a player at Southampton FC, and that's important.
"To be in a situation where you can win something as a younger player is a bonus. Winning is important, but learning how to win is a big thing at this level."
