Southampton winger Moussa Djenepo played 75 minutes as Mali were held to a 1-1 draw against Tunisia in Group E on Friday afternoon.

The result means Mali remain top of the group with four points from their opening two fixtures, with one foot in the round of 16.

Mali took the lead on the hour mark when Mouez Hassen dropped Diadie Samassekou’s corner into his own net, before former Sunderland man Wahbi Khazri levelled ten minutes later with a stunning free-kick to earn a share of the spoils.

Djenepo could be in action again on Tuesday 2nd July when Mali face Angola in their final group match.
