Danny Ings has put his current form down to the love he is getting from his teammates and the fans, after netting his 14th of the season against Crystal Palace.
Rested during the Boxing Day win over Chelsea, Ings returned to the starting eleven with a goal as Southampton drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at St Mary's.
It's the Englishman's third goal in five games during the festive period, Ings claiming his latest notch after capitalising on Martin Kelly's back pass during the second half of Saturday's game.
"I graft every day to try and be the best I can be," said Ings. "I try to look out for defensive mistakes, I’ve got quite a few of them this year where I’ve been switched on.
"It’s a mixture of things. I’m here and enjoying my football again. I feel absolutely loved by the fans and my team. So all of that helps altogether.
"This season has been very up and down for us. I feel like the last three games those are the demands we’ve got and we have on ourselves.

I feel absolutely loved by the fans and my team.
"I thought we’ve been great the last three games, we’re unlucky today but especially the last two. We’ve come a long way and that’s the level we need to be at.
"I felt that we controlled the game for the most part of it [against Palace]. Played some good football and was unlucky with a lot of chances. They scored off of a set piece and are a very physical side.
"To get back in it the way we did, and then to almost go and win it at the end I thought showed great character. Unbeaten in three now which is huge for us as a team so we’re moving forward with that."
