Young Southampton defender Kayne Ramsay has joined League One side Shrewsbury Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old full-back, who made his Saints debut last season, links up with the Shropshire based outfit in 16th place in the third tier.

Managed by Sam Ricketts, they travel to Rochdale on Saturday, before then facing an FA Cup replay with Premier League giants Liverpool at Anfield the following week.

Ramsay, who himself made his FA Cup bow against Derby last term, will now continue his development with the Shrews for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign.

The club looks forward to monitoring Kayne's progress over the coming months.
