Danny Ings has been recognised for his red-hot form with a nomination for June's Premier League Player of the Month award.
Following the resumption of fixtures in mid-June, Ings has taken his league tally to 18 goals, scoring once in the victory over Norwich City and a double in Saints' most recent triumph over Watford.
Just one goal behind joint-leaders Jamie Vardy (Leicester) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) in the race for the Golden Boot, Ings’s brace at Watford last weekend saw him become the first Saints player since Rickie Lambert in 2011/12 to reach the 20 goal mark (all comps) in a single campaign.
With performances in March, prior to the league's suspension, also taken into consideration, the other contenders are Conor Coady, Raúl Jiménez (both Wolves), Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial (both Man United) and Allan Saint-Maximin (Newcastle United).
Voting closes at 6pm BST on Monday 6th July, with the winner revealed at 11am BST on Friday 10th July.
