Oriol Romeu says Southampton are ready to carry on where they left off in the Premier League when they travel to Wolves on Monday.
Heading into the international break, Saints moved six unbeaten with victory over Newcastle, collecting more points in that time than any other team.
After a two-week break, Romeu revealed the period has been used to best prepare Saints for the trip to Molineux.
“We wanted to carry on and play more games, but international breaks are there and have to happen.
“We used it to relax a little bit more and have less pressure on our legs, so we feel more refreshed and more ready to go.

I won’t lie, right now we feel like we can compete against anyone and we can really beat tough opponents.
on facing wolves
“Wolves will be a tough one; tactically they are a tough team and are always hard to beat. Every team always has difficulties against them.
“I won’t lie, right now we feel like we can compete against anyone and we can really beat tough opponents, but it’s going to be another test.
“It’s a tough challenge and winning will keep us up there. Right now, everything is very tight with not many points between teams.
“Winning or losing makes a big difference and we want to get to the good side and get three points.”
