Mali maintained their unbeaten start to World Cup qualification on Sunday as Moussa Djenepo concluded his international duty with a 1-0 win over Kenya.

The Saints winger played 87 minutes in Nairobi, as Ibrahima Koné's strike was enough to collect a third win in four games in Group E.

Having won the reverse fixture 5-0 on Thursday, Mohamed Magassouba's side were made to work for their three points on the road, but kept hold of a clean sheet to stay two points ahead of Uganda.

Djenepo will now return to Staplewood Campus ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Leeds.
