UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 is coming to Southampton this summer and you could get involved with creating the city’s official anthem for the tournament!

Head to Westquay this Saturday, 19th February, to take part in a FREE workshop with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra where you’ll get the chance to try out instruments, create rhythms, melodies and write lyrics.

You don’t need any prior musical experience with all instruments and resources being provided on the day – simply drop in between 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm to take part.

Musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will take away ideas produced in the workshops to create a women’s football anthem especially for Southampton with the final composition being performed at a Fan Party in the city as part of UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.

This work is commissioned from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 by The FA and host city partners, including Southampton City Council, with National Lottery funding through Arts Council England.

Workshops in Southampton have been supported by UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 partners Southampton Music Services, with thanks extended to Westquay for supporting and hosting this workshop.
