Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse has been nominated for April's Fans' Player of the Month by the Professional Footballers' Association.

It was another fruitful month in front of goal for Ward-Prowse, scoring three times and registering one assist in six games.

Two of those strikes came via direct free-kicks, taking him to within four of David Beckham's Premier League record of 18.

As ever the Saints skipper didn't miss a beat during the month, completing the full 90 in all six of the games.

Alongside Ward-Prowse on the shortlist are Bruno Guimares (Newcastle United), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) and Son Heung-min (Tottenham).
