Saints Foundation has been awarded the Professional Club Community Award at the ISC International Sports Awards 2022.

The award celebrates the work that sports clubs do to make the world a better place and the positive change they can have on society. The trophy will be formally presented at the ISC International Sports Convention in March 2023.

In 2022 alone, Saints Foundation has worked with more than 4,300 participants across Southampton. Its programmes support a wide range of ages and abilities, with participants as young as 4 working with the charity through the Premier League Primary Stars project, and Senior Saints sessions engaging participants aged from 60 right up to 95 in community exercise groups. Over half of the Foundation’s participants live in the one of the 30% most deprived areas in England.

Greg Baker, Director of Saints Foundation and Community at Southampton Football Club, celebrated the news, saying: “We are delighted to have been recognised with this prestigious charity award at this year’s International Sports Awards! The news was an early Christmas present for all our team, who work tirelessly to support Southampton and its communities.

“Thank you to the International Sports Convention for this recognition, to all of our amazing Saints Foundation team, and each one of the 4,000+ participants who have engaged with us in 2022. We look forward to doing even more in 2023!”
