Southampton supporters were among thousands of fans who flocked to Orlando for the Premier League Mornings Live festival on Saturday.

The two-day event took place at Universal CityWalk, Universal Orlando Resort’s entertainment complex, and featured live action from every Premier League fixture played across the weekend.

Fans queued at the gates for a 6am start in Florida, with matches getting under way at 7.30am, 10am and 12.30pm local time on Saturday.

Saints were well represented, with plenty of supporters tuning in for the clash with Aston Villa on one of the many big screens.

Club ambassador Franny Benali, who was also part of the local NBC TV coverage, was on hand to meet and greet Saints fans, along with club mascot Sammy the Saint.

The action on the pitch was met by a rollercoaster of emotions, from James Ward-Prowse’s deflected goal, to the VAR decision to disallow it, to Villa’s late winner, but those in attendance have never felt more connected to their club, even thousands of miles from St Mary’s.
