Georgie Freeland Midfielder

Saints academy graduate Georgie Freeland is a goalscoring midfielder who can cross a ball as well as she can find the back of net.

Capable of playing both centrally and on the wings, Freeland was a key threat in attack for Marieanne Spacey-Cale's promotion winning side in the 2021/22 season.

Her earliest footballing memory is buying a Lionel Messi Barcelona shirt on holiday, whilst she lists Raheem Sterling as her footballing idol.

Freeland's football journey started at Hampshire's Centre of Excellence at an Under-12s level, where she played until joining Southampton at Under-15s.

She joined the Regional Talent Centre at Under-16s, and lists the penalty win over Yeovil Town in the 2019-20 FA Cup run as her favourite Saints memory to date.
