Rutherford joins an ever-growing group of senior players within the squad, having represented Portsmouth, Brighton, Lewes, London City Lionesses and, most recently, Crystal Palace during her career.
During the 2020/21 season, Rutherford made 15 appearances for Palace in the Championship in what was her second season at the South London club.
Having played in Tier 3 previously, Rutherford joined the group with an understanding of what it takes to compete in FA Women's National League Southern Premier, and proved to be vital in the Saints promotion winning team during 2021/22.
