Last updated 20 Mar 2023A relatively recent Southampton signing having only joined the club in 2019, Rosie Parnell provides an experienced head at the heart of the defence.
Starting out with Townhill at Under-10s level where she played on Sundays, Parnell also represented the Southampton's Centre of Excellence between the ages of 9 and 12 on Saturdays; typifying the role football played in her life growing up.
At Under-14s she joined Reading's Centre of Excellence, before signing for Oxford United Women for four years from the age of 19.
Her 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons were spent at London Bees before she resigned for Saints ahead of the 2019-20 season, playing a key part in Saints' promotion winning 2021-22 season.
Naming John Terry as her footballing idol, Parnell lists the side's St Mary's debut in the 2019-20 FA Cup run as her favourite memory at the club so far, describing it as "a good advert for the women's game."
